CIPD find a 20% increase in Workplace Conflict during pandemic

A recent CIPD update poll found that over 20% of organisations have dealt with an increase in negative conflict like bullying and harassment, since the onset of COVID-19. They highlight also from their Managing Conflict in the modern workplace report that 24% of employees felt that challenging issues like bullying and harassment are swept under the carpet in their organisation.

They recommend fostering a ‘speak out’ culture and training for line manager to resolve conflict in a positive and informal way.
